Querida, (in spagnolo Cara) è una serie di fotografie che riguardano l’autrice e la sorella più grande Chiara.
Sono immagini accurate ed accorate, fotografie di forti di rapporti.
La spiccata somiglianza fra le due sorelle fa scattare ad Irene immagini nelle quali la grande attenzione ai valori estetici si sposa alla manifestazione di sentimenti che
affondano nei più forti e bei legami di sangue.
La loro somiglianza si presta ad un significativo gioco di scambio di persona; l’una sembra riflettersi in un vetro che invece rimanda al volto dell’altra.
Solo immergendosi con attenzione nelle immagini è forse possibile cogliere le loro leggere differenze.

Nel 2016 Querida viene esposta in una mostra personale curata da Gianni Caverni presso Hotel Cellai di Firenze.

Querida (Spanish for Dear) is a series of photographs about the author and her older sister Chiara.
The photographs are “accurate ed accorate” (Italian for “accurate and heartfelt”) in their representation of strong connections.
The striking resemblance between the two sisters leads Irene to take photographs where the meticulous attention to aesthetic values combines with the expression of feelings rooted in the strongest, most precious
blood ties.
Their resemblance allows for meaningful and playful identity swaps; the apparent reflection of one sister in
the glass eventually reveals the face of the other.
Only by immersing oneself deep in the images is it possible to grasp the slight differences between them.
